It’s Dec. 20. I’m beginning to think about Christmas shopping. True story. I have my eye on the prize and the prize is Friday EOD, when my company’s “Christmas break” begins. This is the busiest time of year for me with my job, so all of the normal December activities, like, you know, Christmas shopping, fall by the wayside.
I have a plan, and that plan begins on Saturday morning with holiday baking, then calling Grandma for some quality time with the kids while Ed and I hit the horror that is the retail store(s).
We did, however, buy a b-i-k-e for Mattix, so we technically have a jump on this. We also have some t-i-n-k-e-r-b-e-l-l items for Molley, per her request, so I’m staying calm.
(Related, Mattix is in kindergarten and is learning how to spell and Molley is wise beyond her years and can do the same. Things are getting far more complicated for us. I have to spell these words really quickly, but Ed is slow on the uptake when it comes to receptive language with spelled words, so…)
Anyway, because we’re not anywhere near done (or, ahem, started) with our holiday shopping, let’s talk about stocking stuffers. Because… why not? And also, growing up, I loved going through my stocking. And while I may have dreams of 4-carat black diamond solitaire in my stocking these days, I know better. We have two kids and I’ve become practical. So I hope for things like CoverGirl Lash Blast 24 hour mascara, fuzzy socks and a gift certificate to the nail salon.
Yes, mascara is my thing. Mascara, powder, blush and baby powder. (What? There’s nothing wrong with a grown woman using baby powder in lieu of regular hair washing.)
Sooo, here’s the deal! You can purchase great stocking stuffers at the P&G eStore. And, ’tis the season for savings, so you can get the following:

Also? I may not be in the holiday shopping spirit quite yet, but I am in the holiday baking spirit. I made these Christmas cake pops, you guys! Check back tomorrow for the details. I’m so proud of myself!
