It’s the little things that are often so big

October 24, 2012

in Experiences, Gratitude

That voicemail from a stranger who took something you offered up on Craig’s List to say thank you and that they are praying for your family.

That note of pride – one short line – left on Facebook by a former high school teacher you respected.

That deep belly laughter shared with friends over sushi and wine, even though you know it’s the last in-person laughter you’ll have in a long while.

Opening up a box to find the words of encouragement you very much need at that moment.

Hearing “I love you so much, Mommy. One million billion to infinity and beyond!” one more time.

That call from your mom, asking how you’re doing, even though she knows the answer.

It’s the little things that add up. Thank you.

I’m so sorry for not letting you know where you can buy this bracelet. Several people have asked! I have another post all about it and that’s linked up, but you ladies recognize talent when you see it. It’s from the amazing Ellie and her Etsy shop is Shining Stones. Click the link and have fun shopping!

Most of yesterday was one of those “tough” days, but when I sat down late last night, I realized it was also a good one. :)

Because I love you to infinity and beyond and will miss your happy face so much but I’m THRILLED that you get to be near your family and friends and am a tad bit envious that all of mine are still in North Carolina. Much love.

I’m saving you a seat on my couch. And I poured your wine.

Wine and a seat on the couch next to you? doesn’t get much better!

and think of all the many many friends who are also waiting to welcome all of you on this end as well. The well wishes of so many make for such good positive energy flow. Bask in those blessings, let them wash over you and heal your body. Thinking of you daily (hourly and often minute by minute)!
XOXO.
